OK, heres the scoop on these. If you're referring to the 209 series pn PDF, they deal with the M44A1 and M44A2 chassis. This means they cover all the -A1 trucks with the LDS427 as well as the -A2 trucks with the LD/LDT465 engines. If you're dealing with paper manuals, there is a series from the mid sixties that cover gassers, -A1 and -A2 engines. In the mid sixties series there's a -10, -20 and -35 (yes 35). With the later 209s there's a ton of manuals for instance, the -10 is broken into -10-1, -10-2, -10-3 and -10-4. That series has a bunch of that broken volumes. The -361 series is the latest stuff for the Multifuel deuces and covers only the M44A2 trucks. You won't find them on disc but there's a whole other series of deuce manuals for the gassers. The series is from the 50s and have titles such as TM9-819, TM 9-1819, TM 9-8022, TM 9-8023-1, TM 9-8023-2, TM 9-8023-3 and bunches more. Need more info, ask!

I have made a copy of TM9-8022 and am working on getting around to scanning it. RDM, do you have a good auto feed scanner? it is 680+ pages long

Robert, I'll see if AB Linn has any more. Maybe we can get one to sacrifice. There's also the 1965 edition of the 209-10 and 209-20 that have gasser info. I have a stapled version of the 209-10 if needed.

I'm afraid I have to both partially agree and partially disagree with Recovery4x4 on the difference bewtween the 209 series and 316 series manuals. The 209 series manuals are the earlier set. Many of the 209 series were clearly marked on the title page as "NOTE: THE STYLE OF THIS MANUAL IS EXPERIMENTAL. IT IS BEING TRIED BY THE ARMY ONLY ON A LIMITED BASIS" (Ref TM 9-2320-209-20-3-1, among others).

The 316 manuals were issued later. I believe they are updated and corrected versions of the 209 series manuals and cover the same vehicles. When in doubt, try the 316 manual first, if you can't find what you need, then look in the 209 manual.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do NOT bother scanning these manuals! Most of them are FREE PDF downloads form the LOGSA site! To find out how to access the LOGSA site, see my posting at:
