3 way B/O switches.

are the 3 way switches all the same.. or is the one in my ambulance m886 diffrent in the amount of used pin/plug holes?
are they interchangeable with a m151 or m35a2 ? all the same?

Same... Even the pushy button switches can be swapped in.

Actually I'd say they are all interchangeable not the same. There were early ones that were kind of triangular in shape (the part that sticks out the dash). But really, 98% of them are the same.

Not all the same. There is an "early" switch that had two sets of wires connected to it. I recently replaced the wireing in an M38 and it had one to my surprise. I couldn't find any info on it, so I called John at Midwest Military he was aware of them. I replaced it with a single connector switch.
