A Florence! They were always remarkable on SAC bases, being neither silver nor camo, but sleek shiny white. There was usually a shiny white T-37 around for checkflight to maintain flight pay, but the tweet was memorably small and whistly, rather than sleek.

There can't be many DC-9-30 variants still flying...

Have they pickled any of the Air Force's T-1A Jayhawks yet?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raytheon_T-1_Jayhawk

I'm curious, because from 1979-1986 I was in Avionics and Electrical Engineering with Mitsubishi Aircraft International here in San Angelo, TX. Some of my original design work on that family of aircraft (originally the MAI MU-300 Diamond-1) is still flying on those beautiful birds.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawker_400

Thanks for any info on these.

The Contingency Aeromedial Staging Facility or CASF Walls from Balad, Iraq will be brought back for an encore presentation at this year's "Thunder and Lightning Over Arizona" open house at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, April 12 & 13, 2014. Thousands of notes, evocative of sacrifice, from ranking officers, actors, young warriors and well-known political leaders cover these walls, once a staging area for wounded and stabilized patients awaiting a departing flight from Iraq to Landstuhl, Germany.

The first C-23B+ Sherpa arrived for storage on July 30. Though still bearing U.S. Army markings, the aircraft was transferred to the United States Forest Service prior to its arrival.

The first three Army RC-12H aircraft arrived AMARG in August 2014. Based on the King Air A200CT, these aircraft performed as Special Electronic Mission aircraft. The engines have already been reclaimed for reutilization.

Ah, the Delta Dagger - also known as 'how to keep Convair in business for another five years...' Airborne RC target was about the most useful thing that airplane ever did.

The last A-10C (Serial No. 80-0175) to undergo the helmet-mounted cueing system or HMCS wiring modification at 309 AMARG departed yesterday, Oct 15, 2014. This 10-day mod, which reached the two-year mark this month, included the installation of multiple system wire harnesses, line replacement units (LRUs) and cockpit sensors to work in tandem with the new HMCS helmet. AMARG completed 250 modifications and maintained an exceptional 99.5 percent "On Time" delivery rate! Congratulations AMARG! - Oct 16, 2014
