Does anyone know how low one of these engines was designed to idle or has anyone done anything with this. Mine won't idle slower than 2000 rpm just guessing

When connected to a genset, you want full governed speed all the time. Any other application, the throttle has a low/high lock that lets you chose what speed you want the engine to run @. Make sure your linkage is free to allow the speed to be dropped down to 700-800 rpm! The lock is a flat plate with a thumbscrew on the throttle linkage to allow engine speed adjustment!
