4x4 question

my tranny guy just put the 700r4 in my 1028 but he didnt adjust the transfer case linkage,so my transfer case was in 4 high and the hubs were not locked.
Not knowing this i drove it down the highway about 30 mile @ 70 mph.
According to him my transfer case did not get damaged.
Is there anything else that could have been damaged in doing this.

his pride. lol adjust your linkage. check the fluid to see if it smells burnt it should be ok.

Im sure its time for an oil change on your Tcase anyway. This would be a great time to do it. As far as running your Tcase in Hi for 70 miles is nothing new. I run my Tcase in 4 Hi all the time during the winter time. I also run it in 4 hi when ever Im off road. Nothing she wasnt designed to do.

Im getting 22 mpg @ 65 mph. I havent installed my tach yet but id say its around 1800 2000 range

I just checked speedo says im doing 65 gps says im doing 67

Put your tire size, gear ratio and speed and get engine rpm...

65mph is about top speed for this truck to not exceed redline.

Well according to the gear ratio calculator with my tranny and tc and tire size @ 65 mph in 4th gear rpm is @ 2123 @ 75 mph rpm is @ 2450 Sounds a little off to me but i will know for sure when i install my tach next week i will post results
