5 gal gas can straw

Not sure of this one but can I use a straw and cap meant for a gravity fed tent stove for an auxiliary fuel tank for a MEP-015A? I know the MEP isn't gravity fed but just wondered if it would work if I flipped the straw around and use it as if it were to go into a 55 gal. drum. Thanks!

Not sure if the threads are the same. Also the length of the stove unit is shorter then the MEP fuel tank needs I believe.
