5 ton axles on a deuce?

Anything is possible with the right amount of fab work, time, and money. I think the option would be a wide variety of ratios to choose from. Drawback would be that they take a forklift to move them. Front end is always locked in. Aren't 2 1/2's passenger side driveshafts and the 5 tons are drivers side?

The center chunk can be flipped passenger side or drivers side to my knowledge

Wide variety of ratios? I know of 1.

6.44 is the most common, 8.88 and 10.26 are out there as well. I have seen some others when looking through a truck parts specialists books. They are found in civilian vehicles.

Huh, Sounds awsome for LESS desierable ratios.....

I would think if you want more wheel options, Take the less expensive route.....Buy a 5 ton.

there is a 5., something but finding it is like a full set of hens teeth, I was told that a high 4. something had existed for road trucks with MANY gears, never seen this on paper
