Hello I'm new to the site. I am purchasing a M 939A2 tractor. I was looking to put a M109 box or S280 on it. However I just saw a video on YouTube about a crew cab conversion that stated the short wheelbase tractor units did not have locking differentials. Haven't heard this before. Is this true, or do you know where I could verify this information?

Thanks and and love the site!

Not true in the M939 series trucks. Many USMC and Navy Seabee M939 trucks to include M931, M931A1 & M931A2 truck-tractors have locking differentials. I have a M931A1 w/o anti-lock brakes, with fording kit and lockers.

Most but not all of the 939's with lockers I have seen (former USMC ones) also have a sticker on inside of drivers door stating that it has lockers.
