rizzo, when i installed the front winch on our XM818 i could not find one. winer had the yoke for the winch end but not the tube. memphis wanted $550.oo. i had a local shop that i deal with make one. that also got me into a more readily availible u joint. cost? $265.oo.
thats what im going to do when i mount my front winch, a local drive line shop, and thay stock all the parts so if i tear up somrthing , i can get what i need quick
when we built the winch pto shaft assembly, we could not find a yoke exactly like we wanted. the one that fit the winch shaft also had a keyway in it. i was concerned that the keyway would weaken the yoke. i turned a collar to a snug fit to the od of the yoke, pressed it on and welded it to the yoke. indexed the shear pin hole 90 degrees from the keyway and put it together. the collar was prob overkill but better to over build than under build.
