I have a M923 5 ton that will randomly shut off. Most of the time at idle. If you kill the power switch and try restarting it, it will fire right up. Sometimes it will do it several times on a drive and other times it will go weeks without doing it. I’m thinking the shutoff solenoid is failing to stay open. Anyone have any ideas.

Lefty the shutoff solenoid is certainly a inexpensive place to start, you could swap that our pretty easily. Could it have anything to do with that electronic box that sits on the firewall in front of the driver, I think they call it the PCB box its supposedly affords some protection to the electrical system in the truck. If its dying at idle it shouldnt be a fuel issue, unless the shutoff solenoid isnt behaving itself? You are onto the first thing I would look at and the PCB is kind of a guess based on things I have read about them Lefty . Good luck!
