5 ton wiring help

Well I started rewiring my m51a2 this week and so far no problems. the wiring was striped from the truck and the only thing wired was the starting system. I 'M PUTTING IN A NOS WIRING HARNESS .have a 60amp. generator that has the main 3 wire plug ,but I have a 4th single wire about 6 to 8 inches long with a plugin on it coming out of the generator.
Anybody know were this wire gos?
