'53 M38A1 YS Carb Rebuid question - extra parts

Hello all

Trying to finish rebuilding the YS carb on a '53 M38A1. I have this check ball and 5-sided something that I believe came out when I took the top off. Any direction on where they go?



The check ball I know is not part of a jet/captive check ball piece I did replace.
