I saw that one and wondered why. I also saw the one that sold in Texas with a buy now price of 7k. I have not seen any others with a buy now price except for one in Guam.

I've looked at this auction twice now... I don't see it. There's only one theory... and it's pretty hairy... there's something inside that truck, that you can't see. and the guys bidding on it are in the know. AKs in the fender? gold in the fuel tank? Pocket nuke under the passenger seat?
All I know is that if I were CID I'd be taking a fine tooth comb to that and the guys who bid on it (after the normal price range was exceeded).
I mean, I guess it could have some sentimental value... but not $55K worth!

Maybe the truck the buyer had in his time in the military? Doesn't really explain the other bidder though. They must have also bought the M1101 to go with it in Barstow: http://www.govplanet.com/for-sale/T...,-117.333984375,190.31464132621463&pnLink=yes . I was really happy to sell my identical trailer for half the $2700 this one went for!
