I’m having a lot of trouble with the threaded line from the filter to the lift pump (bottom right side of block) on my 1986 Chevy k30, quick question for the professionals, is this line under serious pressure? Or would I be able to remove a section of it and replace it with rubber hose and clamp it back together? It appears to be rubber at the filter and to save a buck I’d like to make it rubber underneath as well.

any advise is appreciated! Thank you in advance
