I have purchased a 6bt in a 90 Dodge tug with attached 727 transmission. I originally planned to run the original 400 behind the Cummins. There is nothing wrong with the 727 and last week a fairly nice 86 Dodge half ton, V8 727 241 came to the yard as scrap. Now I am thinking it may be easier on the pocketbook to use the Dodge parts for my Cummins swap, I have everything except engine mounts and they look simple enough. Has anybody taken this approach before? I am not worried about the low gear ratio, I have a set of Hummer tires (37") and wheels lined up as well. I should have a 48 mph cruising speed and a 60 mph top end. Glen
