well it appears according to this chart it is little over 14.5 qt's. When at shop today will look at where it appears one fills it.

Now I have my doubts. Unless The sticky spread sheet is wrong this makes no since. Sheet says 1078 rear axle holds 18 qts. If that is true why less in intermediate axle with a second gear box attached? Is there a pump inside like in ottoman of an engine?
