Hi guys, new to the site. I'm the happy new owner of a 1967 Stevens M416. Found it in great shape for $450:

The problem is the tires. The stock 7.00 x 16s were shot, and I was lucky enough to get some 235-70-R16s for free, but two separate trips and two flat tires (same tire, running tubes in them, I think it might be the rim), it's still not home. I'm picking it up in a trailer this weekend, but I need a new tire setup.
I know the 7.00 x 16 NDT are the original tire size, but will 7.5 x 16 work on the stock 4.5 x 16 M416 rims? I've found a decent deal on craigslist, and at $50 cheaper a tire for two tires and a spare over the 7.00 x 16s I've found, it's very tempting. Here's the CL post:
Any input is greatly appreciated!

I'm getting two new rims, keeping the good original for a spare, and want to buy three tires. The 7.5 x 16 closest conversion is 235-85-R16. Currently have 235-75-R16 on, and they look a little smaller than the original 7.00 x 16 tire. Will the 7.5x16 tires fit?
Any input is greatly appreciated!
