Hi all, just picked up a mep-803a and the guy had a 813a 400hz set as a parts machine. Both are fully intact as far as I can tell.
I have done my cleaning, inspections, and static things like lube/filter change, and want to begin tackling some of the fuel lines, fuel tee's, etc, checking for leaks while my fuse mod kit is in transit. My question is how far can I go before the quad winding might be damaged?
Can I apply 24V to the genset and check how/if the pump runs?
Can I dead crank to check for oil pressure?
Can I disconnect the quad winding and actually start the unit up?
Can I disconnect the whole A1 and start the unit up?
Thanks for all the knowledge and help you have already provided me from the collection of knowledge found in the posts, to the people who source and supply the different components to keep these things running.
