Greeting, fellow Steel Soldiers,
I recently bought my first 8) M1009 a 1984 with 11000 miles (act-?) from Fort Mccoy Wisconsin.
My questions are:
1. does anyone know the best way to fix a cracked water housing return. Brasing, JB Weld..etc. ?
2. does anyone know where i can procure one.
3. on the back of the rear axle housing is written in white paint pen ( Pinion set screw broken 03 Jan 2010) .........???

THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWERS ! New to this hope I posted this correctly

Do you mean the aluminum cross over tube? JB weld or a good welder might fix it. They are the same as civy 6.2, so a junk yard might have one.

I would take a look in differential and see if everything looks OK.

Drop me a PM i have this part...as far as number 3...I'd pull the cover and inspect to make sure everything is there and where it is supposed to be and you should be ok, I doubt it was used for 4 years without that pin in place, don't forget to replace the oil!! TX's HAWK
