84' M923 855 cummins; I have looked at the spread sheet and I'm still confused as to what oil filter and gasket I need. This is the slip in type. So what filter and gasket do I need?
Second; (probably the dumbest ?) How much oil will I loose if I take the filter out? and change the filter and gasket? Since it's on the lower side of the motor, but above the pan, I imagine at least 3-5 qt's.
I also need to repair my door window rubber. Both door windows have major gaps, around 1". They also don't roll up right and need tugged to roll all the way up. I know I need new regulators, but I also need to find new window gaskets as I think the are called. Is there a complete kit that I can buy for regulators, rubber, and channels?
Also ;Since the access panel is at the very bottom of the door, how do you go about replacing all this stuff?
I do appreciate any and all advice, I do apologize if I have posted this in the wrong area again. I'm sure I will get it someday! Hopefully sooner than later!

Well firstly I will say that there are sticky posts at the top of the forum with filter numbers and the TMs to help with every question you just stated. But I will help you before you do something silly.

First question, oil filter : http://www.eriksmilitarysurplus.com/oilfiform815.html

second question, you will loose about 2 gallons maybe more. Don't do this. Drain the oil completely which is about 7 gallons. Then change the oil filter.

The window issue you may have to live with the gap. But Erik's military has seals and window parts aswell as eastern surplus and TMJ and a few other places. It would probably be cheaper to find some one parting out a truck and snag the doors from them.
