Friday, I decided I needed to stretch the M1114s legs on a shakedown cruise, so I texted @Soupermike and asked what he was doing Saturday. (He lives about 130 miles away). He told me he was off and I asked if it was cool if I could come for a visit.

He said he was going to be puttering around and for me to come on down. I asked if it was cool if I brought my radio tray so we could build some feet. Again he said "Bring it down!" I woke up early Saturday and hit the road around 0600, enjoying the Louisiana sunrise and scenery.

I get to Mike's around 0830 and after some catchup/chitchat/bottles of water (it was already about 85°!) we built the feet for my tray. (I had some old armor brackets that we were cutting for use).

Mike is an amazing dude!

As we are chatting, he mentions he invited a couple more friends that are supposed to be there later.

We get done with the brackets and install the tray

About that time, a couple more trucks pull in...

It turns out Mike had invited @jluv1185 and another great guy and they brought their HMMWVS.

We all climb around each other's trucks, chitchatting and realize we have some common friends.

Me and @jluv1185 becoming buddies!

Then someone threw out the idea we should get pics of our trucks and eat lunch, so Mike fired up the M37 and we went to a local Veterans memorial, where much merriment happened...

Then it was off to lunch, where other than Mike's wife being assaulted by a chicken wing, everything was amazing!

Then it was back to Mike's for more visiting and a demonstration of the best way to open a Slantback hatch before everyone had to hit the road.

I hit the road and other than a bad rain storm, the truck ran GREAT! All in all it was a great impromptu visit, I met some more AMAZING people and I want to say thanks to Mike for his hospitality and Justin for lunch!

We had a great time and definitely need to do it again soon.
Here is an informative video that @kendelrio was kind enough to act out for us

The last 10 views of that video was Crystal watching it on repeat and dying laughing....
