A very personal question...Dipstick Length?

When I changed my Deuce's oil, I drained both sumps until barely any drips, like a good hour. Then I put the both the plugs back in because I knew I couldn't finish the change that day. So the next day I removed the plugs again just to get whatever oil might have pooled down, well, I was quite surprised to get almost 2.5 quarts of oil out. This was after out driving, so the engine was up to op temp.
Just my experience

It is mo better if one takes the time to remove all drain plugs and let it drain for a day or two. Yes it is.
