A3 Front tire balance W/ Erik's lug nut fix

I asked Erik about the shake/wobble in my front end. It started at about 40/42 mph. Erik recommend adding 7 lug nuts to each front wheel to balance the almost 400 pound tires.
He sold me 14 lug nuts that came with a pic on where to add the lug nuts.
Lug nuts added to wheels per Erik's direction.
55 mph per gps unit and not a shake/wooble etc.
$50.00 fix.
Thanks Erik!!!!

You need to elaborate on this. Where's the pic?

I took the 11 x 20 front tires/wheels from my M135 to a truck tire center years ago - they spin balanced them to 80 MPH. I added some SG OD paint. The end result was smooth running, and I could cruise easily (and comfortably) at 60 MPH.

I will take pics this weekend and post.
Metal behind the attached wheel weight is same I think as adding lug nuts.
How the heck did they balance them to 80 MPH?

The tire shop balanced them using a spin-balancer that was bolted to the floor with 8 each, 1" bolts. They told me that they didn't spin at 80 until they had weights on the wheel, then they wound it up to 80 MPH to be sure that the balance was correct. It cost $ 35 per wheel, but it was worth it to me.

Did you have a chance to scan the picture that shows where the extra lug nuts are placed?

Thanks.

I have a copy of the pic that Erik sent me when I placed my last order, but not sure if cool to post it without his permission. I guess it's easier to beg forgiveness than ask for permission, so here goes:

Anyone Balance the Rear Wheels?

Excuse me if this is too obvious a question. Since adding 7 lug nuts to the front wheels helps to balance things out, has anyone used the same fix on the rear axles?I was wondering if there is any noticeable benefit?

Just to set the record straight, this fix was "wehring's" creation, not Erik's.

Erick is a great guy, but if we're going to call it by someone's name give credit where credit is due.
