Adapter Tack for a M35A2 multi fuel

Hello All

I need of a little advice I am Just replacing a worn out Tack drive...
The new one seems stiff to rotate the shaft....
does the tack drive get lubracation from engine oil or is it have its own lubrication?

A little confusing at first, but I'm pickin up what you're throwin out there! Back in the day when otr trucks had mechanical drive tachs, we lubed everything, drive, cable and even a little in the tach head itself with assembly lube. Big plastic toothpaste type tube, Lubriplate no. 105. Not sure why your drive unit would turn hard though.
