Just finished giving the ol deuce ac power to run the slide in camper project. Didn't want it to show to bad and had no extra space on the camper so decided to hide the generator, batteries, and fuel tank under the bed instead. Here are a few pictures of the additions. Onan 6.5k generator, 1985 amc eagle 22 gallon gas tank, and (2) 725 amp deep cycle marine batteries.

That is a dang good idear right there! Are you going to do a thread about the box you added to the "bottom lip" of the 109 box? (seen in the last pic).

Since the entire bed is sheet metal and sealed , the fumes shouldn't be any worse than a generator in a normal motor home. Plus if there is a generator fire, hopefully never, all that metal should shield the camper at least long enough to put the fire out. Also installing CO2 and smoke detector inside the camper just in case. Don't plan on running the generator much except to recharge the batteries and run the microwave while roughing it in the wilderness :)

The lil box just in front of the spare tire bracket is the double 110 outlet box from the generator, there is also a small conector attached to the spare tire bracket that plugs a cable into the camper for 12 volt dc supply and the remote start and stop switch for the generator from inside the camper.

It is a standard deuce bed. The camper is a slide in I made from an old 1 ton slide in camper. Wanted to still be able to use the truck as it was originally intended :)

wow, thats very very nice! i always thought it would be nice to see a t-case rear PTO like on farm tractors but on the deuce. you could run all sorts of stuff off the back.... might even be competition for a unimog! haha!
