You are exactly right. its nice to see people think things through.That Pete air-spring setup looks pretty spiffy! How much does that setup cost? That's the beauty of bolting on a chunk of trailer chassis, If I happen to stumble across that air-spring assembly later, it's just as easy to un-bolt the trailer spring section and change it out.
I could just as easily build a triangulated 4-link setup and run just the air bags.
Man, that sits nice. Good job. I like the idea of the air bag setup, but I have wondered if there is enough articulation. OTR rigs don't need much. How does your truck do in that regard?I installed an air ride set up from a Freightliner. It was easy to install and rides GREAT! I would recommend it to anyone. I also have air ride seats. It rides like a 3/4 ton pickup. The peterbuilt is probable about the same. I dont know for sure but dirtygrunt looked at mine and desided to go air ride. I have not talked to him about how it went in but it looks pretty close to about the same as the frieghtliner set up. Here are some pictures.![]()
