Long before I got a deuce I read a article that stated you have to remove a 1/8" pipe plug on the air cylinder side of the air pack and add some kind of oil. My older truck has this plug, but the A2 doesn't, DID THEY DO AWAY WITH THIS OR IS THERE A DIFFERENT AREA TO FILL IT ?

mine is a "A2" and it has the little plug. should be on the back of the unit on the round cover. To oil it take the plug out and use AIR tool oil. just a couple of drops every couple of monthe and it should be great.

That is the problem, my 1973 truck doesn't have a plug in the rear cover, the rear cover is a stamped piece that seems to make up the complete rear section of the air pac. My older truck has a cast aluminum rear cover that bolts to the back of the air pac and has a plug. I was concerned with the newer/cheaper looking (better ???) model with missing oil port. I wonder if you are supposed to fill the line up or ???
