Airlift Bumpers

I thought of adding an airlift bumper to the rear of my truck, but in keeping true to its historical Marine roots i'm wondering if this addition would be correct. I see lots of Army and USAF humvees with the bumpers, spare tire holders, etc but not so much on the Marine vehicles. Did the USMC not go for this modification as a cost-saving measure or something?

My USMC M1037 came from the 99 auction with an A1 airlift bumper. So they we installed, but mostly on shelter carriers. I always install them for extra protection and a place to hang the spare.
