Allison tranny question / help

Ok here we go, when i put trannyin 1-2, it will shift 1st, 2nd and then shift 2 more times before i manually go to 1-3 and so on, with same shifting issues. Is this normal or does tranny need adjusted? Please help!!

When you put it in drive does it go thru the gears properly? Did you check the fluid level with the engine running in neutral? How did the fluid look and smell? Does it still have oil in it or allison trans fluid?

still has oil in it, oil looks clean and not burnt. checked in neutral and fluid is reading full. when I put it in 1-5 it seems to shift ok but a little fast, then I have to down shift manually to get it in the sweet spot and not lug the engine.
