As Will said keep it simple. New filters are in place and he bleed the air out and can get it running. We really do not need to check the bleed screw with a gage for the in tank pressure of 4 to 7 pounds with motor off. You can but when you open the bleed screw and it comes out under pressure that tells me I have in tank fuel pressure or line pump pressure. What is important is the minimum running boost pump pressure of 30 psi at idle and 60 high idle. So this test is on the simple to check list. Once the air has cleared the system using the in tank / line pump or if you have to put pressure on the tank to bleed the air they will run with little difference in performance. Most people could not tell the performance difference. We have even seen the motor will start and idle with the secondary fuel filter pressure relief valve wide open but no performance.
