If you have a use or have a trip planned for your deuce in cold weather, start it every 6 hours or so and let it warm up some each time. After the first time it will start easily every time. The right oil and good batteries make a big difference.
I kept a (plywood) grill cover on mine all year to keep the multi happy...

Having the fuel fired heater exhaust blow onto the shroud on the oil pan is a Great way to warm the oil before start. Btw I have a spare oil pan shroud if anyone needs it. Pm me.
