Any way to get official history on a M929A2

We have a A2 dump that had 74 hours on the meter when it came to us.

My guess is that is 74 hours post rebuild or rework..but I'm not sure.

Is there any way to trace that in government records and find out??

Any data plates to look for or other things that would indicate rework or rebuild that would have incorporated a new hour meter??

What is the correct term for a rebuild that a military depot would do??

Like he said above. Carnac can look it up using the vin #, if he still does that.
