As for the tall exhaust; Someone might have had a heart and knew how much the poor guys riding in back appreciated not having to ingest all of that black crud (smoke). Also, puts the noise up a little highter. Drawback: Makes it tough at certain McDonalds and Taco Bell drive-thru windows.

The vehicle somehow got into the Army Reserve system assuming the bumper numbers are original. It shows 100th Division (Institutional Training) of which the 3rd Brigade performs training for combat support type units. Unit is located in KY, TN, MS, AL.
