Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
The BFV ammo boxes had ammo chute attaching lugs. And I think they held up to 200 rounds.Any of you Bradley guys recognize these ammo box's.
I'm trying to figure out what they were out of.
Sea foam green leads me to think U.S. Armor of some vintage.
25mm make me think Bradley but I can't find any pictures of them in a Bradley.
Thanks for your time.

I was close on the ammo in the ready boxes. Ready boxes held 230 & 70; HE & AP rounds. 600 rounds were in black boxes and stored under the floor and in sponson boxes. Total combat load is 900 rounds. I believe there may have been other 25mm variations like SABOT.Any of you Bradley guys recognize these ammo box's.

Not that I can see anywhere. I will give them a closer look this weekend. Please see message #3.
OK, I got it. These are “hot boxes” for storing ammo 25mm under the floorboards in the rear of the BFV. Prior to this there were black plastic boxes that the ammo came in and we stuffed them under the floors. It appears that these boxes replaced the black ones.

This would explain why I haven't seen them when looking at interior pictures of the BFV.NSN: 8140-01-407-8242
