Are these for an 'A' frame, crane jib or what ?

Couple of pictures of CCKW's with the same, presumably post war, front bumper modifications.
I'm looking for a picture of the 'A' frame, crane jib, snowplough or whatever that these brackets were made to fit. Cheers.

aframe2.jpgHello yes, I'm almost certain that these are post war. I've seen the traditional 'A' frame mountings, they were situated probably a foot back from the towing hooks and as you say, on top of the chassis rail, although this photo from the Becker book shows a different mounting. I'm inclined to think that these particular mods were more suited to mount a snowplough, I'd just like to get official clarification. There is a picture on http://flickr.com/photos/nounours51/5747116531/in/pool-gmc cckw which shows a front mounted crane jib. This appears to be mounted on the front bumper but it's difficult to be sure as the picture was taken from behind. Thanks for your interest.
