Well I bid what I thought was a ridiculously low bid on a 1953 GMC G749. Or at least that's what they are calling it. Below is all info on truck that I have. Now I need to go see it in person in IDaho falls, ID.

Anyone have any opinions on the truck based on limited info? Otherwise, figured I would at least show some pictures.

Year: 1953
Make: Gmc
Model: G749
Vin: 00000000007031
Mileage: 8342
Mdl G749, 2-1/2 ton, 8 cyl, 4x2?, Manual trans, Gas, odometer reads 8,342, true/actual mileage unknown, w/winch & fiberglass hood. Repairs may be needed: Running condition poor; Body & interior condition: Poor; Driver~s door window cracked; others intact & in fair condition; no spare tire.

Looks like one of the old Memphis Equipment fiberglass hoods. Or maybe a Boyce Equipment hood.

I was thinking about bidding on it but I changed my mind.

I didn't want to go recover it. I have a hard enough time going across town to the GL warehouse. ;-)
