Anyone know what size the castle nuts are that hold the ball joints?

I have every size except that one and I'd like to buy the correct size and I can't find my caliper.

Balljoints? They don't have balljoints.

If you mean the drag link or steering bar, they are a 15/16 hex head. I can get a thread measurement later(if that's what you need).

What do you need, the nut or a socket to fit?

Hmm, I have an M1008, not an M1009. I just replaced my draglink today.

If you had specified M1009, I would not have replied.

Jag7720- Assuming you just did the ball joints? I'm in KC, too, and have an M1009. Need to do the ball joints in the next month or two. Curious how you made out for time and money invested. I could also probably use a hand doing mine. If you wouldn't mind posting any info from your experience, or shoot me a PM. Thanks!

I got my parts from O'Reilly's. Cost... don't remember. Not too bad.

Time??? it took all day... because I didn't have the socket for the castle nut and I also did the u-joint on that side. You should too. The part is under $20 and you have everything apart anyway. I also did the brakes... so, realistically, it should take a few hours.

They will loan you the press to get the ball and u joints out.

Let me know when you do it and I'll see if I can help out.
