steelandcanvas: this diagram you posted is w/ 2 switches. This can be done w/the 2100 model I have also.
Cant both alt run to the same leads on the switch since it is field disconnect?
I beleive the AFD (alt field disconnect) is to prevent surge on electric system while moving selector????? Not sure.
Any insight would be great!!

Good catch, I didn't see that. Yes, the AFD is to prevent alternator damage. Seems to me you would need two switches, as in my diagram. Paralleling the "B" leg into one switch might cause a problem. Bjorn would be the Guy to answer this one.
