brake light air switch question

Hi,

Ive fitted the brake light upgrade kit and removed the brake light switch from the hydralic side of the airpack to the air type switch.
Ive got no brake lights, the switch does not operate when the pedal is pushed.
Ive removed the switch and air comes out the hole when brake pedal is pushed.
Ive tested the switch with compressed air and it does not work till it has 65-70 psi to it.
This seems quite high, is the switch faulty?

Thanks,

Paul.

Yes it's bad. Brake light switches should open at 3 to 5psi
