brake question

I have had my deuce for a little over a month. When i bought it i had to top off the brakes to get it home but they worked fine. A week or so later got in and had no brakes, checked and MC as dry. I filled it in an attempt to get it moved to work on it and was able to pump the brakes and get the pedal back, but it has since been puking fluid out of the vent from the airpack on the firewall. I have a new MC to put on but from what i have read is my airpack bad too. Is there any other reason fluid would come out of the vent line other than a bad airpack. Thanks

Yes, you have a bad air pack. I pulled one off my Gasser M35 the other day. It was pushing air and fluid up to the air filter on the firewall constantly whether I was using the brakes or not. All the air, brake and vent lines had brake fluid in them when I undid them. Get a new one or a kit. The kits aren't that hard to do if you make everything clean and take your time. Oh, with the air pack out of the way, now would be a great time to put a kit in your master just so you don't have to open the system up again in a few months.

Thanks for the help guys! I have a new master cyl. Waiting to go on, looks like I'll replace the air pack to and then rebuild my old ones.
