Button/Button help......

I rebuilt the parts on the HH today using a new button, retainer and bowtie washer. I feel that all those parts will function correct. I did notice that where the button contacts the lower button (I guess) it was beat up a little. My question is do I need to worry about this or is this common to see when replacing the button. Hope this is the fix and can hear the engine run in a day or two.
