Cables conncted to fuel pump-filter

Should the cables shown here be connected? I found them disconnected.

I believe that's your "water in fuel" wiring harness. doesn't need to be connected.

Mine are now dangling (actually neatly taped up and secured) after I installed a spin-on filter.

they are the water in fuel. all it does is make the light on the dash work. nothing else. truck will run fine without them working.

It work off the GP controller and temp sender in the head.. the 70 degree thing ect..
