Can a surge brakes be added to M101A1?

Hi,

I have a M101A1 (1963) and am wondering if I can add a surge brake from an A2. I am not sure I need it but...... Is it a fairly easy mod?

If you ever have a lunette break loose from a pintle hitch and break the safety chains I think you will have a lot more problems going on than worrying if the trailer will brake to a stop. May just be me though, Wayne

you will need a surge lunette, brake line and a axle that uses hydro brakes. may want to look for an A2 maybe cheaper in the long run.
