Carbon Buildup inside the air intake

Guys,

While adjusting the shifting points on my trans, I noticed some fairly heavy carbon buildup inside the air intake body.

1- Should I take it off and clean it out from time to time?
2- Is it something I should be concerned about?

what you are seeing is most likely just the oil blow-in from the "pcv" valve. its nothing to worry about.
