Castle nut specs.

Ok.... I was working on my front axles last week and going by what I've seen posted on here, well I got to where I undo the torque rod from the knuckle. Well I knew not to booger up the threads and I thought I didn't but I guess they are a little messy b/c when I went to put the castle nut back on I cross threaded it. So now I need another one. I was wondering what the specs are on it b/c I was just going to order another from MCMaster Carr or the like.

If you mean the castle nut that goes on the tierod-end (1 5/16" socket) it is a std 7/8"-14 thread (UNF).

Yes that is what I was needing. Thank you so much. Is there a certain tech manual I can reference in the future for such issues? I didn't know if there is a manual that has the parts broke down and all the specs related.

Your TM 9-2320-209-20P will give you part numbers, NSN and MS types when used universally.
