Changing injection pump, how to turn crank?

I've looked everywhere and can't see how to turn the crank as the serpentine belt has a adapter that bolts on front of crank. Is it safe to bump the starter to move up bolt access? Or is there a special tool that you can move crank with?

I've always used the starter to rotate the engine to get at the three bolts on the timing gear. The gear is trapped in there and can not jump a tooth just in case you were worried about that.

Should I disconnect glow plug box? I don't want to burn glo plugs.

6.5 NA engines have a lug on the back side of the harmonic damper that a 1 inch wrench fits perfect.
