Cheaper crimping option for wiring harness ?

Hello all,

im trying to replace the worn out packard connectors on my wiring harness. I ordered new connectors but didn’t think ahead and consider the crimping tool. The DMC AF8 is cost prohibitive for my purpose.

can anyone recommend an alternative? Would soldering all the connectors be a good option? Are there any other crumpets that would work that are $75. or less?
