Let off the throttle and the light went off. Since these motors are so pricey I decided to get a reader, bought a surplus ICE test kit. After fighting with scratched DVDs and old computer hardware I got : 102-07 "Boost Pressure Sensor Not Responding"
A quick search indicated a boost pressure control issue, often due to wastegate control issues. I fed 25 psi into the drain line for the wastegate and no movement. Bumped up to 50 psi and it opens but is super jerky. Some lub and working it a bit now it's smooth and consistent at about 30psi. No more boost control issue!
