Has anyone tried to mount a civilian Alt in a M998 ? I put one in my M923A2, was just curious if anyone had done it in a HMMWV.

Try starting with this thread: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?165048-Delco-24v-alternator-bracket-modification Some people have modified their mounting brackets to fit a 70A 24V Delco alternator (there's a PN for it in one of the posts about halfway down) in place of any of the military ones. The advantages it shows is that it's much cheaper, lighter, and seems to be a bit more reliable, but it won't have the same water and damage resistance that any of the military models have. Pick your poison, really.
