Is the clutch pedal suppose to be the same height as the break pedal on the M37? My clutch pedal is about 2 1/2” lower than the break pedal.

Well... One gets pushed with the left foot, the other is pushed with the right. So, it isn't like your foot would get confused slipping from one to the other. The clutch can be adjusted higher if you need it to be. Otherwise, just drive on...

I would have never guessed that. My reason for asking is that I am having clutch issues. The pedal is extreamly hard to push in and it does not always release the clutch plate enough to get it into gear with grinding.

Ouch. Okay, maybe there is something "afoot". You should have an easy 1 inch of free play in the peddle, and maybe a quarter inch in the actual linkage.

You need to correct what is wrong before you damage the transmission gears. Adjust the linkage according to the TM first. As Mullaney mentioned you should have free play at the top. If the linkage is correctly adjusted and the clutch still isn't completely releasing, the clutch disk may be failing.

The rotating shaft thru the bellhousing that moves the throwout bearing can bind up if not greased periodically. The Zerks are easily missed when doing so. The same with the pedal shaft that goes thru the frame.
